A Pathway to Dentistry
Kris’s career began as a dental assistant, a position he held for seven years. It was during this time that he discovered his love for helping people improve their oral health. Wanting to make a larger impact, he pursued his education at PIMA Medical Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. There, he trained on campus and developed the strong foundation he brings to every patient today. Kris is also diode laser certified. For the last five years, he’s been dedicated to delivering excellent care as a dental hygienist.

What Kris enjoys most about his role is seeing the transformation in his patients’ smiles. The positive feedback he hears after a thorough cleaning motivates him to give his best, day after day. Away from work, Kris enjoys quality time with his family. No matter the activity, being together brings him joy. Born in San Antonio to a military family, Kris moved frequently and graduated from Seoul American High School in South Korea. He fills his free time with workouts, gaming with friends, finding new music, and learning—especially by watching Bible study videos and exploring science topics.
A memorable moment that speaks to Kris’s calm nature happened when he delivered his youngest daughter in the car while rushing to the hospital. Everyone was safe, and Kris looks back with pride at his ability to stay focused during a high-pressure moment. That same steady temperament is reflected in his approach to patient care.
